Hosting Data-Transfer Quotas Are Fading Out

    From Slash Dot

Ok it had to happen sooner or later, although we all know there will be many catches with this change and I for one will not jump at a "unlimited" offer, er ummm well maybe if it was here at Dathorn.....

As a lark I had one of 1 & 1 's beginner accounts oh my, what pain that was, of course I expected that. Has anyone here tried one of their larger plans ... kind of interested in seeing what their performance, service was like ....
    Cheers,

ResellerClub (Directi) just did this also, with unlimited bandwidth on their hosting accounts. I sell domain names through them, but not any web hosting plans so far. I haven't seen any limitations in AUP or TOS ... but I would imagine they are there somewhere. And I haven't done a check to see how many sites are hosted on their servers.

One of my customers came from iPowerWeb, and his "unlimited" account had numerous problems. I looked and the whois info showed thousands of sites on the server. I compared it to an all-you-can-eat buffet with a mile long line. If you ever get through, you can have all you want.
