No, I was going off how to install squirll mail off the help section...and it said to uncompress the tar use this command. Only prob. is they have no tar files on their site. Someone needs to update that help file. Its outta date.

.tar.gz = diff. command vs. .tar

yah, but tryin to figure out how to get this bloody thing to work right.

Now that ive installed it, I get the same re-direction to the cpanel webmail page (neomail, horde, and squirrl mail)

            Its not my night...

okie, I kinda sifted thru and got the exact url for it

lot slower compared to work's squrril mail, Im guessing due to it being a shared server.

That's not your install of Squirrelmail, it's cPanel's.

Yes, I installed it to a certain dir on my site, and it keeps redirecting to that one. (ie. www.mydomain.net/webmail redirects to cpanel's one)

I've never installed squirrelmail before obvisiouly, but this has me confused.

Chris, if you PM me your e-mail addy. I can send you a conversation between me & Ikkebra where he told me how to install my SQMail. When I had issues with it recently and needed to reinstall, then I just referred back to that convo and I was able to reinstall it, so I assume it'll explain itself well enough.

Curryman, if that conv is simple enough I could post it in the FAQ section thus making it available to all users.

Worked great till I noticed my snafu and deleted it...there went my MX record OH:
