How avoid message - Warning: You are logged in using the reseller or root password

How do I log into cpanel using a username/password other than my Dathorn system combo, dis3963/password?

When I log into my cpanel account using my dathorn username dis3963/password everything seems to work fine but I get this message when I get to the domain-level cpanel screen:

Warning: You are logged in using the reseller or root password

which I ignored until the issue arose again when I tried to access phpMyAdmin at the bottom of the MySQL cpanel screen, and got this message:

"This feature is not available while logged in with root override. You are logged in with the root, or reseller's password. Please login with this user's account password. "

I tried several username/password combinations at the cPanel login level (using the link originally provided by dathorn when I opened my account) but I can't get in with anything but my original dis3963/password.

      User name for phpMyAdmin

When I signed up for WHM, I chose a password for my username "dis3963".

This combination of username/password works with

      to get me logged in.

In WHM, I created a an account whose username is "idm" and which has a password. This username is linked to my domain.

I can FTP using this "idm" and its password.

I cannot log in to WHM using via https://cpanel18.gzo.com:2087/ using "idm" and its password.

When I'm in WHM, I can use cPanel to look at the domain that is linked to "idm". But I am unable to run phpMyAdmin.

        Use the format:

        http://your domain.com:2082/

login with "idm" and its password

or if your accessing the cpanel through whm's cpanel link, logout of 'that' cpanel, log back in using the domain's username/password.

Or if you want to use a secure version of cPanel, use https://your.domain.com:2083
