Neat. I think i'll go spend a few hours staring at the sun to check it out.

Well I watched it from bout 5.10 til 6.25 ~ awesome!
Saw a pair of sunspots (check <HERE> for info) @ same time.

Overall very happy just wished my bigger scope had
proper filter to allow me to have used that one...

        Lucky you, I didn't have a telescope.

Is it just me or is everything here real blurry now?

That would happen if you stare at the sun without using any form of eye protection.
Ultimately you'll get cataracts and then go blind if you do it too often.

There's a nice link (http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclips...p/safety2.html) about eye safety and solar eclipses.

Seriously though, I did try to get a brief glance but without a telescope or something to block all that light I couldn't see a thing. Next time i'll be smarter and let my camera do the looking.

The first link had info on how to safely view it
Most simple way is to make a pin-hole viewer.
