Sorbs Issues

I have a client that is getting lots of returned e-mail as cpanel 17 is listed in sorb s data base.
Any comments or work arounds from anyone as it;s becoming a pain in the ***

I do have a static IP for my account on C Panel 17 however that doesn't help as SORBS sees it as a CPANEL 17 issue ( main IPn ot my IP)

All e-mail goes out of the server's IP regardless of your site's IP. Search these forums for more information on sorbs.

Sorbs is a pain

Like it or not this problem is getting worse. ww.register.com is now using sorbs lists as well. I just lost a $1000 web design job because I had to tell my potential client I would have to communicate with him through yahoo.com because his domain name host, register.com is blocking my IP. How un-professional is that?

How many people is this effecting? Anyway we could get Andrew to figure out who got cpanel16 on the list and get rid of them, and then take up a collection for the $50.00? I would about pay it myself after loosing $1000+ because of this problem. And its not old and outdated and going away, large sites are starting to use these lists.

AT&T is blocking also

I'm also having problems with clients emails being blocked by AT&T (att.net) so I had to setup their account on another shared hosting service. I asked once if I could migrate my dis-xxx account to a different cpanel server and was told this is not allowed.

I'm tempted to just register a different (second) dis-xxx account and try my luck that it doesn't land on cpanel16 then migrate my customers anyway...but this seems like a sneaky way to work around this unsupported issue on the cpanel16 server.

I really do like Dathorn hosting, and hope this SORBS stuff can be worked out.

If your mail is being bounced by a list please submit a trouble ticket. We actually can work around it now.
