    Activating accounts

    Hi all,

I was recommended Dathorn by a friend and must say it has to be the best value for money purchase this year!

All I got to do now is get my head round how to do the following:

a)I created a new account but how does my custumer actually access it
b)i did not appear to receive any notifcation when the account for the user was created

    can anyone clarify the above

    thanks
    Pari

        1. They have to change their DNS settings at their domain name registrar to point to your DNS settings (which are given by WHM when you create the account).

Then, after they update their DNS settings at their registrar, it can take up to 48 hours for the DNS servers throughout the Internet to all point to the website you set up for them.

        2. Then, they can log in to their Cpanel by using http://www.domainname.com/cpanel where "domainname.com" is their domain.

In the meantime, before the new DNS settings propegate, they can log into Cpanel and access their website space by using their login name and password from your site (assuming its set up!) ... http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel ... where "yourdomain.com" is your domain name on the same server.

If you don't have a domain set up on that server, they can use the Dathorn name of the server, which is also in WHM or in your welcome letter from Dathorn. Its in the form of something like "http://cpanel99.gzo.com" or something like that ... just append "/cpanel" to the end of it and it should get them to the log in screen.
