How to get log analyzers to download the RAW access logs

I'm checking out the trial version of a weblog analyzer and I can't seem to figure out how to get it to automatically download the access log. This is the second software I have tried, when the first failed I thought it was the software, now I think it's my process.

I've set it to https and I copy the link that is used to manually download the logfile from cpanel

and enter the username and password but it just isn't working. The programs keep returning unknown errors, though I can paste the same https path into a browser and download it fine. Is there something I'm missing? Can I get to the file via FTP?

    Thanks

This is not a secure way but try using this syntax:
    Code:
    https://username:password@cpanel16.gzo.com:2083/getaccesslog/accesslog_sitename.com_7_2_2005.gz
I have just written it from the top of my mind, so not sure if this will work.

i believe IE removed that ability due to a hijack vulnerability in that syntax, correct me if i am wrong.

        Don't use IE then...
