    .cpan folder

On one of my accounts I have a folder called .cpan which is located outside public_html, it is around 700kb in size accourding to cpanel and has 3 folders inside called sources, CPAN and build. In the Sources/modules folder there are two files called 03modlist.data.gz and 03modlist.data.gz.bak and there are a few other files in the other folders.

Is this folder safe to delete or is it needed?

Also there is a folder called .gnupg outside the public_html folder and includes files with the names, options, pubring.gpg and secring.gpg

Is this folder safe to delete?

Looks like you've installed GnuPG. www.gnupg.org
