    Yay!

Looks like I'll be staying in this weekend

Frigid arctic air is forecast to move across the southern Plains, causing a "significant ice storm" this weekend in Oklahoma and parts of Texas and Arkansas, the National Weather Service said Thursday.

    Hah...

"This is a one-in-maybe-15-to 25-year event," CNN severe weather expert Chad Myers said Friday of the forecast freezing rain, sleet and snow."

Good thing I stocked up at the grocery store last night

I lived there for 3 winters and say -40 ( remember both scales meet at -40) and yep it's dam cold, if your car is not plugged in with a battery blanket and a strong batter , you will not get it started and the AAA/CAA wait time is usually 5 to 6 hours ....

If it's any reward it's a dry cold.... as compared to here in Eastern Canada I am 3 minutes from the Bay of Fundy( salt water) it's always damp here...
          Cheers,

It's hitting st. louis, mo metro here shortly. I ran away though. I'm out in Greenville, IL at the girlfriend's house. Should be far enough away to miss most of it. Just hoping home doesn't loose power, and that I can get home sunday, so I can get to work monday (where I get to drive around St. Louis Metro area, delivering parts and servicing/fixing computers/networks/ect)

              Joyful.

I live in Winnipeg now. And yes, it was cold. I was walking down the street to get to work for about 5-7 minutes and and then my legs were numb at that point.

The coldest i felt here was 3 years, just after my wedding (around this time too) it hit -45C or -48C an windchill of -54c i think it was. Now that was cold. My eye lashes were freezing together, my nose, i could feel it im lungs. That was an interesting experience.

Walking to the bus stop and I had my lunch in my bag, and my green apple was now a shade of brown.

I just added some pictures. Grunfeld Im sure you remember the Winters. Here is a couple I took on New Years Day, after we got a dump of snow.

Round 3 of the ice will be here in a few hours. I really don't know how people are going to get around on Tuesday and Wednesday. The roads are just awful. We've gotten so much ice that it has piled up and looks like snow.

St. Louis, MO Metro has so far, really only gotten some rain. North and west counties got some ice and did loose power (St. Charles, mo area for sure). Yesterday, temps were suppossed to drop down some, but went up instead. Sitting around 38F here atm.

                      This is my driveway:

I was able to get enough of it off so that I could finally open my garage. It is completely solid ice no matter where you walk.

We're getting more snow in Tulsa now.

                            I'm ready for summer
