100% agreed. Far better than anything SpamAssassin will do. It filters over 2,500 spam e-mails out of my own mailboxes every single day on the most aggressive settings and I might have one false positive every 3 months (though I can't even remember the last time it happened). Postini is the best anti-spam/virus solution that I've used and requires very little setup or maintenance from a customer standpoint.

      Seems very good...but

I'VE only been using it for a week or so. It's taking about 2/3rds of the spam out but it's still letting through about 1/3 with what seem like obvious subjects about watches and erectile dysfunction, viagra and all the "mis-spelled" variations. My client side catches almost all of the 1/3 that gets through. I think it's a very good deal at 3 bucks...I'm just kind of curious why it doesn't catch what seems obviously to be spam.

      What's wrong with this picture?

felipe808, it is very likely that the spam that you are seeing get through is ignoring the domain's SMTP records, which is how Postini receives and filters the e-mail. Sometimes spammers will do this and send directly to the address where the domain itself resides regardless of the MX records. Please submit a ticket with the full headers of one of these e-mails so that we can take a look.

If this is in fact occurring, we can setup a filter to drop these e-mails from senders that are ignoring the domain's MX records. Absolutely no legitimate e-mail provider would do this.

          Works real good

Yap...that did it real nice...I'm only getting about 10% of the 30% that was still sneaking through. Really nice. Thank you DATHORN!

No problem at all. If any other of our Postini users want this filter setup for them just submit a ticket and we'll get it taken care of for you.
