    Cant get Addon Domain to work

    This particular domain (domain2.com) has been registered and setup since last year. I want to point it to domain1.com/domain2

    I set it up in cpanel and when i go type in www.domain2.com it brings up the page not found error. What am I doing wrong? I FTP into domain1.com and I see it created the subdirectory (domain1).

    What is the password for when you're creating the addon domain?

      Yes there's index.html but check this out.
      If i try to access it by typing out www.domain2.com, it says page cannot be found. If i type in http://domain2.domain1.com i can view it as a subdomain.

      During the setup process, this is the message I see.

      Nameserver ips for domain2.com are: xx.xx.xxx.xx,xx.xx.xxx.xx send to CONTACTEMAIL (3) [3] Bind reloading on cpanelxx using rndc zone: [domain2.com] Error reloading bind on cpanelxx: rndc: 'reload' failed: not found Created DNS entry for domain2.com

      Setup Mail forward domain2.com -> domain2.domain1.com
      Setup domain2.com OK
      Adding httpd.conf entry for domain2.com to point to domain2.domain1.com

          I get the same error adding addon domains using WHM. It all works properly, but it can't (re)load the zone file so the net effect is zero.
          Can't find anything else about this is the forum, so I guess it's trouble ticket time.

          But that's a subdomain!
          CPanel creates a subdomain and ftp user when you create an addon domain, the source of a number of problems, but not this one.
