    Screen (Monitor) Resolution

We've been working on our new website, client portal, etc. and of course resolution always comes up. What do you use at home / work?

1024 x 768 is the lowest screen resolution of 92% of the browsers, according to the chart at W3C. With only 7% of browsers using a resolution lower than that, I design my sites with 1024 x 768 in mind.

1680 x 1050 is what comes with my wide LCD on the WinXP box, 1024 x 768 for the Mac and the Ubuntu, both of them with CRT

          Thanks everyone.

powvex, there are no immediate plans to do so at this time. 15k RPM SAS disks are still quite expensive, especially when in RAID. They also haven't increased in capacity like the SATA disks that most hosts use. Our focus is on providing a high quality service. We will not do anything that could compromise this.

No less than 1024x768. 1600x1200 at work, 1280x768 on the road.

Any site should be usable with 800x600 resolution. It is not point of how large monitors users have, anything displayed beyond 800 px wide is less readable.
