    Google's PageSpeed

Google has released mod_pagespeed for Apache. It evidently automatically makes several modifications to CSS, HTML pages, etc. to enable faster load times.

Has anyone tried it on our LiteSpeed enabled servers? I'll ask in a ticket if no one has tried it before (or tried to manually do the modifications it supports).

      Thanks, Andrew!

I found a Firefox add-in that provides the optimization tips that the apache mod uses, and they can all be done manually. Some of the advice doesn't apply; it suggests combining .js files, but you can't always do that when they are from third party sites like Google Adsense. The tips it provides for unused CSS directives is good, although it only looks at the page you test and not the entire site, so you have to take some care in applying the recommendations.
