    System clock

Is there an possibility that you set system clock to GMT time on servers?

What happens now it that each time winter/summer time changes, that messes our sites. In Europe there is additional problem that we change to winter time on different date than in USA where servers are located, so we actually have problems with time four times a year.

It comes to quite a lot of time consumption to go through all sites that are affected and fix time.

If servers are on GMT that would not be better as at least server clock would not change.

Sorry, we will not be changing the time zone on our servers. This has always been set to US central time and will remain as such. Changing it at this point would cause far more problems for those depending on it than the select few that might still have issues handling it. If your software is properly configured to work with time zones it should adjust automatically. Most scripts have a time zone setting that can be adjusted and you can even set this in PHP directly via your .htaccess file.

It did not cross my mind to try to force time zone using .htacces. It, actually, works.

      Thanks.

No problem at all, I'm glad to hear you were able to get it to work!
