    Hi,
    Am looking at signing up as a reseller, would like to know if I can use perldesk (perldesk.com) support ticketing system? Does Dathorn have support for this? Is anyone else here using it?

    Any info greatly appreciated

    Dathorn doesn't provide support for Perldesk, but it should work. I believe there are a couple of people using it...or at least there used to be.

      Thanks OpenBox, when I say support I don't mean tech support, just server support to enable me to run it. Just thought I should make that more clear as my first post was a little ambiguous.

        I used to use it here on dathorn and it worked fine.

        Don't use it any more though.

            I was using the version that was a year or so old - it was the free version before it went commercialised.

            I decided to write my own helpdesk software, because there was a few things about perldesk that i didn't like (such as having to type your name, username etc every time you submit a ticket).

                Unfortunately not at this stage.

                I wasn't planning on releasing it either.

                I coded a whole customer control panel, similar to dathorn's, and the trouble tickets section wasn't too hard to do. What will be challenging is the billing part of it. I'm not quite sure how to implement this yet.

                  Sounds like a big job. Good on ya. You should consider developing it commercially, could make an extra few bucks. Got anywhere to see an example?
