    5/23/05 - cpanel27 upgrade

cpanel27 is tentatively scheduled for an upgrade to our new systems on 5/23/05. I will reply to this thread as soon as possible if the date changes. There will be no changes required by the customers for this move to take place, everything will be taken care of on our end and no IP addresses will change. This is a basic upgrade just as previous servers have gone through.

The transfer process has now begun. I will update this thread throughout the day to note the progress of this.

The transfer process is currently about 35% complete. It's taking a little bit longer than expected as we've been working on a problem with Hyperthreading on the machine that has come up as well. With some luck this should be completed and swapped out tomorrow.

I apologize for the lack of updates on this. The transfer process is nearly completed but we're still awaiting a complete fix for the Hyperthreading on the server, we believe it is bad hardware at this point and if we are unable to get this resolved today we may end up cancelling this upgrade process and redoing it once this is resolved.

The transfer process is now complete. Within the next several hours we will be taking both the new and old cpanel27 servers offline to connect some additional hard drives and actually replace the old cpanel27 server with the new one. There may be an hour or so of downtime during this process.

As a side note, the Hyperthreading issue has been resolved by replacing the motherboard.

Everything was completed lastnight and should be working just fine. SSL certificates may have to be re-installed for those domains that had them. If you continue to have any other troubles please submit a trouble ticket.
