    cpanel10 Upgrade on February 1st

ATTN ALL customers located on cpanel10, please read and understand this entire thread thoroughly. If you have any questions please post here: http://forums.dathorn.com/showthread...1973#post11973

On February 1st, cpanel10 will be the first server upgraded to our new platform. More information on this can be found here: http://forums.dathorn.com/showthread.php?t=2094

Instead of being on cpanel10, users will now be on cpanel38.

    Server: cpanel38.gzo.com - 70.85.53.210
    DNS #1: dns75.gzo.com - 70.85.53.212
    DNS #2: dns76.gzo.com - 70.85.61.17

    IMPORTANT
Anyone that has custom nameservers or that has used the cpanel10 DNS IP addresses (64.5.56.113 and 64.5.56.114) for anything will need to update their entries to the new nameservers and IPs listed above.

To avoid all possible downtime on your domains, do not make any DNS changes until we have confirmed here in the forums that the cpanel10 account transfers have been completed.

Those that are using the cpanel10 gzo.com nameservers (dns19/dns20) without IPs, do not need to change anything. They will be updated to the new IPs automatically.

Beginning at 12:01AM CST on February 1st, we also advise all users to disable anything involving MySQL updates (order forms, forums, CMS, etc.) until it is running on the new servers. This will avoid updates being lost during the transfer and ending up with a database that is a few hours old. If this is not an option, you can leave everything active, cpanel10 will still be online for a few days following the upgrade. But you will be responsible for transfering any database updates that might be needed.

Once again, if you have any questions or comments, please post in the forum thread that is linked above.

IMPORTANT: As per the thread linked below, the username changes described here are no longer being done.

Previously I mentioned that all customer/WHM usernames that contained dashes would change, this is no longer the case. All usernames will remain as they are currently. However, this presents some complications with WHM. Sometime after 6PM CST we will begin transfering the actual dis#### reseller accounts, when each one is

Also, for any accounts that have a dash in the username, this dash will be removed during the transfer. This includes customer usernames as well, which will be changed for WHM and the CCP. For example, if your customer username was dis-0000, it would change to the new format of dis0000 for both WHM and the CCP. These changes will be made a few hours prior to 2/1/06.
