    cpanel24 Emergency Upgrade on 11/11/06

I sincerely apologize for the late notice on this but I did want to go ahead and give a little bit of warning. Beginning tomorrow we will be starting the upgrade of cpanel24 to our new server platform. All remaining details will be posted to this thread tomorrow.

ATTN ALL customers located on cpanel24, please read and understand this entire thread thoroughly.

Today cpanel24 will be upgraded to our new platform. More information on this can be found here:
I just wanted to keep everyone updated on what is happening behind the scenes here, I apologize for the long read but I think it's well worth it. ;) New Server Platform & Server Upgrades First and foremost, our previous routine for upgrading servers is going to change. Instead of replacing old servers with new ones, we

Instead of being on cpanel24, users will now be on cpanel56.

    Server: cpanel56.gzo.com - 75.126.55.109
    DNS #1: dns111.gzo.com - 75.126.72.128
    DNS #2: dns112.gzo.com - 208.101.28.36

    IMPORTANT
Anyone that has custom nameservers or that has used the cpanel24 DNS IP addresses (69.93.118.131 and 69.93.118.132) for anything will need to update their entries to the new nameservers and IPs listed above.

To avoid all possible downtime on your domains, do not make any DNS changes until we have confirmed here in the forums that the cpanel24 account transfers have been completed.

Those that are using the cpanel24 gzo.com nameservers (dns47/dns48) without IPs, do not need to change anything. They will be updated to the new IPs automatically.

We also advise all users to disable anything involving MySQL updates (order forms, forums, CMS, etc.) until it is running on the new servers. This will avoid updates being lost during the transfer and ending up with a database that is a few hours old. If this is not an option, you can leave everything active, cpanel24 will still be online for a few days following the upgrade. But you will be responsible for transfering any database updates that might be needed.

Once again, if you have any questions or comments, please post in the forum thread that is linked above.

All cpanel24 customers should now be able to login to WHM on cpanel56 with the same login information as they used for cpanel24. Please do not do anything with this yet, however, as the domain accounts have not been transfered yet.

If you login to the customer control panel and view your welcome e-mail, it should now list cpanel56 as your server.

We're continuing to transfer the remaining domain accounts from cpanel24 to cpanel56.

Note that you will no longer be able to access WHM on cpanel24.

Most accounts have been transfered at this point. We just have a few of the large accounts remaining and some minor system changes and then the new server will be ready to go. This should be complete sometime tomorrow morning.

All accounts have now been transfered. You should now change your DNS/nameservers to the new cpanel56 nameservers if necessary.

You may need to re-install SSL certificates on the new server (cpanel56). If you purchased one from us simply submit a ticket and we can re-install it for you.

Also, if your scripts require PHP's register_globals to be enabled, you will need to create a php.ini file in the exact directory of the script that requires the setting with the following line in it:

                register_globals = On

If you encounter any further problems, please submit a trouble ticket.

HTTP on cpanel24 will be disabled on Monday (11/20/06). Please be sure that all DNS updates are made prior to that.
