    cpanel05 Upgrade on 12/8/06

ATTN ALL customers located on cpanel05, please read and understand this entire thread thoroughly.

Beginning on the evening of December 8th, cpanel05 will be upgraded to our new platform. More information on this can be found here: http://forums.dathorn.com/showthread.php?t=2094

Instead of being on cpanel05, users will now be on cpanel57.

    Server: cpanel57.gzo.com - 75.126.55.110
    DNS #1: dns113.gzo.com - 75.126.86.192
    DNS #2: dns114.gzo.com - 208.101.27.216

    IMPORTANT
Anyone that has custom nameservers or that has used the cpanel05 DNS IP addresses (64.5.38.112 and 64.5.38.113) for anything will need to update their entries to the new nameservers and IPs listed above.

To avoid all possible downtime on your domains, do not make any DNS changes until we have confirmed here in the forums that the cpanel05 account transfers have been completed.

Those that are using the cpanel05 gzo.com nameservers (dns9/dns10) without IPs, do not need to change anything. They will be updated to the new IPs automatically.

Beginning on December 8th @ 5:00PM CST, we also advise all users to disable anything involving MySQL updates (order forms, forums, CMS, etc.) until it is running on the new servers. This will avoid updates being lost during the transfer and ending up with a database that is a few hours old. If this is not an option, you can leave everything active, cpanel05 will still be online for a few days following the upgrade. But you will be responsible for transfering any database updates that might be needed.

Once again, if you have any questions or comments, please post in the forum thread that is linked above.

To proceed with this upgrade WHM (reseller) access has been disabled on cpanel05.

All cpanel05 customers should now be able to login to WHM on cpanel57 with the same login information as they used for cpanel05. Please do not do anything with this yet, however, as the domain accounts have not been transfered yet.

If you login to the customer control panel and view your welcome e-mail, it should now list cpanel57 as your server.

We've just started transfering accounts from cpanel05 to cpanel57 and I will update this thread throughout the process. If all goes well we should be able to complete this upgrade by tomorrow afternoon.

All accounts have now been transfered. You should now change your DNS/nameservers to the new cpanel57 nameservers if necessary.

You may need to re-install SSL certificates on the new server (cpanel57). If you purchased one from us simply submit a ticket and we can re-install it for you.

Also, if your scripts require PHP's register_globals to be enabled, you will need to create a php.ini file in the exact directory of the script that requires the setting with the following line in it:

        register_globals = On

If you encounter any further problems, please submit a trouble ticket.

HTTP on cpanel05 will be disabled on Saturday (12/16/06). Please be sure that all DNS updates are made prior to that.
