Softaculous provides the ability to easily install and update various scripts directly via cPanel much like Fantastico does. Some of the key features and benefits of Softaculous are:
- 138 different scripts available (Fantastico offers <60)
- Various JavaScript libraries are available (such as jQuery)
- Updates to scripts and libraries are available much faster than with Fantastico
- Live demos of each script can be tested prior to installing the script on your own account
- Scripts installed manually or via Fantastico can be imported so that you can manage (upgrade) them via Softaculous
