We are very proud to announce the launch of our new website and updated client portal! We've spent a long time working on this and we can't wait to hear all of the feedback.
To avoid some confusion, we will now be referring to our prior "customer control panel" as our "client portal". Over the years we found the old name easily confused with "cPanel" on numerous occasions.
Although the client portal has much of the same functionality as before, all of the code is completely new. We've improved some security measures, optimized performance, and have added a few new features. Some of these changes include:
- Improved password encryption. This is automatically done when you login for the first time.
- On the home page you can now see a brief overview of your account information, recent announcements, and recent tickets.
- Under the Information menu you will find a Log link which allows you to view your complete portal access history.
- Ticket statuses will now display Open, Closed, Work In Progress, or Escalated to keep you better informed as to the status of your ticket.
- SSL certificates ordered from this point forward will now show up under Extras -> SSL Certificates.
In addition to these portal specific changes we've also made a couple of operational changes:
- Previously we were sending out quite a few emails to individual clients and it was difficult for us to keep track of these many different conversations. These emails varied in purpose from overdue invoice notices to domain warnings. These will now all be handled via our ticket system. When we need to contact you, a notification ticket will be created under your account and you will receive an email letting you know that one has been created. You can then login to our client portal to view it and respond accordingly.
- Referral payments have been doubled. Previously if you referred someone and they signed up for our Basic ($13.50) plan, you would receive $13.50. Effective immediately these have been doubled and in this same example you will now receive $27.00. Each client now also has a link that they can pass on to others and the referrer will be tracked via a cookie. More information can be found in the referral section of our client portal.
Other than that we encourage you to take a look around the new website and client portal. We would love to hear your thoughts. If you find any problems with the new design please do let us know. We've tested extensively to iron out the kinks between browsers but ultimately real world usage cannot be duplicated in a test environment. We'll gladly take a look at anything you may find.
