The backup system software has been upgraded to include the DNS zone for each domain and it will now delete any backups for domain accounts that no longer exist to prevent backups exceeding their disk quota.
These updates will be processed on your individual backups when they are run next. So for daily backups this will be early tomorrow morning, weekly backups won't be until Sunday morning.
I spent the day re-coding the entire backup system once again due to the fact that we noticed a bug in the fact that we assumed some cPanel configuration files as being correct and after a discussion with the developers of cPanel we now realize that we can't make that assumption.
The way it was, if you had more than 30 accounts in WHM not all of them would be backed up. Only 30 of them would be backed up each time and the selection process was virtually random. This is no longer an issue.
I tested this upgraded system quite thoroughly but I advise those that pay for this backup service to check their backup account to make sure everything is working correctly. If you notice any problems please submit a trouble ticket.
As of today, all of our servers are now running version 2 or 3 of our own backup software. This means that if you are not paying for backup service (regardless of which server you are on), your accounts are not being backed up at all. I just wanted to make this clear to everyone that might not be aware of this.
As of today, version 3 of our backup system has been upgraded. In addition to the backups being stored on a separate disk within the server, they are now also being transfered to a separate server once every week. This is included free of charge to all customers that are paying for our backup service and are on a version 3 server.
