    7/26/04 - cpanel13 upgrade

cpanel13 is tentatively scheduled for an upgrade to our new systems on 7/26/04. I will reply to this thread as soon as possible if the date changes. There will be no changes required by the customers for this move to take place, everything will be taken care of on our end and no IP addresses will change. This is a basic upgrade just as previous servers have gone through.

The transfer process has now begun. I will update this thread throughout the day to note the progress of this.

The transfer process is now about 50% complete. This server in particular is taking longer than any of the rest, but that's due to the number of accounts involved and the overall slowness of the cPanel backup creation process. I will update this thread with the current status later this evening.

The transfer process is now just over 75% complete. It may be until early tomorrow afternoon before this process is completed and the servers are actually switched out.

The entire transfer progress is now complete. Within the next several hours we will be taking both the new and old cpanel13 servers to connect some additional hard drives and actually replace the old cpanel13 server with the new one. There may be an hour or so of downtime during this process.

This is taking much longer than expected due to the fact that the new cpanel13 has serial ATA drives, which has not been the case in the past nor was I made aware of this previously. We're trying to get this completed as soon as possible.

For the most part, everything should be working fine at this point. SSL certificate will need to be re-installed.

We've been unable to restore the packages nor have we been able to re-sync the MySQL databases due to the fact that the old primary drive has some how lost it's partion table which we will hopefully be able to correct, although I can't guarantee anything. The old secondary drive which has the backups of all accounts on it is fine.

If you are experiencing any problems please submit a trouble ticket.

All packages have now been restored and we've regained access to the old MySQL databases. We can restore these for any issues that would like them but it will overwrite any MySQL changes since about 12:30am on 7/28/04 so it's entirely up to you. Simply submit a trouble ticket to request this.
