Need timing advice for switching to dathorn

    Hey,
I want my switch-over to be as smooth as possible. I want to carefully consider the timing. I wonder of a dathorn representative could help me here...

    1) Since I'll be getting personalized nameservers, I assume the domain name switch for my hosted sites will be painless, once the changes propogate... does this sound right?
    2) I want to minimize the chances of any outage today (Friday) untill after 6pm EST
    3) this leads me to the question: whan should I actually sign up and initiate all of the changes, should it be now (Friday morning?)
    4) I have cpanel-generated backups of all of the important domains and will be getting help moving things from dathorn. This should hopefully make things ready when the switchover happens.

    1. I think so; check here, for something simular asked:
Ok. dathorn has my full attention now, and they seem like a rela good company. FIrst question. I REALLY need a clean IP. I was assured via email from Andrew that they don't have this type of trouble, but the confirmation email from signing up on these boards was filtered as bulk by my yahoo account: X-YahooFilteredBulk: 207

    2. & 3. ~ not sure.. I'm not good with math
    4. I believe it is 50¢ per site, if the other host has cPanel,
to move everything over; not 100% sure.

      4) Backups generated from within cPanel cannot easily be restored entirely.
