    MySQL transfers to Dathorn

    Hi everyone,

As a potential new client, I'm in need of some info prior to signing on with Dathorn. I'm concerned about transferring my client's guestbooks from my current provider. The web site itself is no problem, but I do have concerns about transferring the MySQL databases. Can anyone provide insight as to how this can be done easily please?

    Thank you in advance!

Here's one way of moving MySQL.

    1. Log into phpMyAdmin
    2. View each Database, clicking the "Export" tab on each.
    3. Upload the SQL/GZ File(s) to Dathorn's phpMyAdmin to restore.
    4. Edit the guestbook(s), etc. config file(s) to reflect on the new MySQL users/passwords.

I'd try setting up a test server on my own computer
and trying the export/import SQL data first, to make sure it'll work.

If it doesn't work, I *Think* that Dathorn can transfer it
for like 50¢ per site, though it only works if you have cPanel.

I am seriously looking at you guys for my hosting solution. I am currently with kmhost.net and am NOT happy at all. BUT, I am afraid of the transfer process. I noticed in your forums that you can transfer my websites for $0.50 per domain... which I would love to do... but could you please give me some reassurance on the
