    Backup, hardware failsafes, Planet Specs

    Hi-

We were just wondering if you could provide us with some information regarding how database monitoring is taken care of in terms of users bogging database systems down. Also, could you provide some information regarding on backup / failsafe measures in
place (e.g. multiple / raided hard drives, redundant hotswap power
supplies, UPS/generator backup, etc.). Maybe a link to the Planet's information on this?

    Thanks

MySQL is monitored just as Apache is to maintain uptime. If a user is using more than their fair share of system resources through MySQL, the specific domain is suspended. This is done on a case by case basis at our sole discretion.

All of our new servers are Dual Xeon with RAID-1. Backups cost extra and the pricing is listed on the bottom of our hosting plans page.

    We're located in DLLSTX2.
