    Dathorn now offerring SSL certificates?

I noticed that Dathorn now is offerring SSL certificates directly to their customers but I couldn't find any information on the type of certificate, who it's from, etc.

Would it be correct to assume that this is the same as the QuickSSL by Geotrust that is available from EV-1?

It is not the same certificate, but very similar. They are issued by Equifax.

      Thanks Andrew.

Equifax will probably be better for "name recognition" and more trusted with my clients than my current Geotrust one.
It was getting time to renew but I'll switch to yours now.

Will we still have to go thru the process of buying and installing a new one every year or will we be able to just add more years on to yours when the time comes since we'll be getting both our SSL and hosting at the same place?

They will still have to be renewed like any other certificate, but with us we do all of the installing, etc. for you.

It's just breifly mentioned at the bottom of our hosting plans page with the other "extras".

ah, i see it. thanks Andrew. i figure after my last little bout with the chained SSL, i would rather use your services now that they are available. you mention they are like Quick-SSL certs. is this the only offering or do you also offer higher-assurance certs as well? i think the Quick-SSL will work for my imediate need, but options would be nice for those customers that require a stronger assurance.

We only offer a basic SSL certificate at this time.
