i see, instead of starting new threads i hope it is ok for me to ask questions here...
you state that backups cost extra $2 per GB per month,
so if i only backup my clients' MySQL tables thru Cpanel it will not work?
(i am just very skeptical after two bad incidents with two of my clients old hosts)<!-- // Blah! // -->Comment

You can download MySQL backups via cPanel and phpMyAdmin - but obviously those do not include any files on the account. Making your own backups via cPanel, etc. is entirely seperate of our backup system. Our backup system that you pay for synchronizes the content to a remote server where you can access the data via FTP.Comment

ok so if i go with business for the first few months (hope upgrading is ok) it will cost $6 extra if i request daily backups and $18 if i request weekly or monthly?
another thing, if i sign up tonight as i intended to, my hosting lasts until the first or the seventh of next month? (i knw its a silly question but time agreements and payments are important)<!-- // Blah! // -->Comment

For the business plan it would be an additional $6/month each for daily, weekly and monthly backups. For instance...
Daily Backups = $6/month
Weekly Backups = $6/month
Monthly Backups = $6/month
Daily & Weekly Backups = $12/month
Daily, Weekly & Monthly backups = $18/month
Your will initially be charged the full amount. Then on the 1st of the following month (July in this case) you will be charged the remaining amount to bring your account good through the 1st of the month after (August in this case). Billing is effectively pro-rated to the 1st of the month.Comment

No need for Fantastico
Mambo is available in the cPanel script library. The only footwork you have to do is create a database for it, which only takes a minute. The cPanel auto-install does the rest.
Nonetheless, to ensure the latest version, with bug/security fixes, it's much better to go the route of downloading Mambo from their site (actually, probably from SourceForge.com). Otherwise, there's a good chance you'll end up applying patches immediately.~ Tim Gallant ~ http://www.pactumweb.comComment

Quick note about installing from the cPanel - I've only ever been able to install to a subdirectory with the autoinstaller. To install manually (reccommended anyway since you get a little more control over it and can be sure to have the latest version on there) is really easy. In fact, no more difficult than using the autoinstaller. You just unzip the package from Mamboserver, upload it, and go to your page. You'll be faced with exactly the same setup sequence as when you unpack via the autoinstaller.
