With dedicated IP that you give, are we allow to have a custom nameserver?
I'm just another customer ...
Most registrar will allow you to use Dathorn's DNSs so you can have something like:
NS1.YOURDOMAIN.COM
NS2.YOURDOMAIN.COM
There are instructions for GoDaddy in the FAQ somewhere. As for running your own DNS probably not allowed. However, if you submit a trouble ticket they'll even turn on DNS Edit in WHM for you. Then you can edit your accounts DNS settings. Better know what your doing if you do ask for that privilege.
You can save the IP for better things.
I have no idea about soholaunch thingy.
I'm sure Andrew will be around soon to correct anything I got wrong.

Actually, with some registrars (eg. register.it for italian domains) you are forced to keep your DNS elsewhere, as they object to Dathorn's servers being on the same network. Not much of a problem: as long as you create the domain in WHM Apache will know what site is to be served and the whole thing will run flawlessly. I've tested this both with register.it's own name servers (for simple stuff) and with a free DNS account at xname.org for more funny stuff (like the website and ftp at Dathorn, POP3 and SMTP at Godaddy). Do not expect to issue trouble tickets with such a setup, anyway... You better be sure of your DNS syntax!
BTW, xname works fine as a secondary NS too, with zone transfers and all.
