    I want to be satisfied

    HI, esp. To Andrew,
I sent a thread in some forum asking for a good reseller company, and some one recommended your company and said many kind words about Andrew and the supporting team.

So I spent couple of hours reading all about you.

I am hosting my site now in an a good commercial hosting company that is not using cpanel.

My only problem with them is with their mysql servers and phpmyadmin.
My site is an arabic site that is concerning about canary birds also I have phpbb forum concerning about all the pet birds.
The problem of the mysql is:
They have max-limit queries per hour (72,000 per hour per user) and my forum exceeds this, I created another two users and I added a script to rotate randomly through the three users, but also the queries were very high and they disabled my database.
I don't think that my forum have high queries but this is happening.

    So my questions:
    1) Are you limiting the transfer from the databases (queries)
    2) what is the ver of the mysql and the phpmyadmin?
    3) Have you arabic support. As when they upgraded to mysql 4.1.9 and used the phpmyadmin 2.6.3 pl1, my all tables used the utf_8 and since this I cannot read my tables in arabic or browsing them in arabic fonts. Of course my forum did not affect.
    4) As I read here that you cannot transfer the databases as the other host do not using cpanel. So I will tansfer them manually. I have 75.5 MB compressed database and If I want to upload them via phpmyadmin ( sql files) will last many hours to upload them as their is a max limit file size through phpmyadmin. How many is the size limit?
Is their a way to upload them quickly?

    5) about the paying, can I pay for a year or should I pay every month.

For know this is my questions.

    Thank you.

If you are running that many MySQL queries then I do not recommend using our services. That is a lot of MySQL queries to be running in a shared hosting environment.

      Thank you Andrew,
I do not think that is correct about that number of queries, I think it is a cause from that host so as to go to another host that they recommeded for me and pay more money.
As I know my forum faced many active days with high visitors and did not happened anything, Why at an ordinary day given me that the queries have been exceeded the limits.

As I know you offered reseller servers not shared ones.
So I am intresting in you reseller plans.

How about you post your stats for your forums. How many users total, how many posts total, how many users on the forums at the same time, ect.

From what you posted before, it sounds like you have a high amount of visitors to your forums, if you have a bunch of people on them at the same time, then you will need a VPS or a dedicated server solution.

for the whole site not the forum the pages around 7000 page in 24 hours most of them for the pages of the forum,
My maximun data bandwith was in 5/2005 almost 27 Gb.

            Totally off topic:

Congratulation on your success. You seem to have found a niche. Should be some way to capitalize on it.

I would ask the same people who steered you here about a VPS solution ... virtual private server. You may still run into resource issues, but you won't have to worry about being suspended because you bring down other sites sharing your server. It will just slow your response to your readers.

There are companies out there with a VPS solution nearly as inexpensive as the hosting here, but for one for your site, I would plan on paying $50 or more per month. (My information may be out of date, as I haven't checked the pricing on these plans in the last 6 months!)

Re. VPS: I've recently started looking for another hosting service (not because of anything wrong with Dathorn) and here are are two VPS services that I found recommended by customers on various forums:

www.servint.net/vps/ seems to get positive reviews at $49 per month.

ev1servers.net/english/vps_series.asp is another that seems to have reasonable prices for VPS service, but these guys do have their share of negative reviews. (E.g., some here might recall a famous incident when a backup drive was reformatted after a hard drive crash.)

Again, the reason that I happen to be looking at other hosting services has nothing to do with Dathorn service.

I just recently moved to PowerVPS.

As the others said, you should be looking into the VPS market and getting away from shared. Dathorn (and most other shared companies) won't give you any room to grow, you're right at that point where VPS/cheap dedicated is in your future.

                  Good luck.
