Counter Strike/IRC Server

Am I allowed to set up a Counter Strike or an IRC server? I just wanted to know, I'm thinking about buying a server but if I'm allowed to do it on here, that would be great, I'm not sure how much bandwidth it uses or whatever though...

This would most likely not be allowed. You need a dedicated server.

I was just thinking of trying one out - but dont want to get in trouble for doing it, lol. If anyone has tried anything like this (without complaints) then please let me know.
