index pages, domain forwarding, and phpsuexec questions

I've gone through the TOS for dathorn and I'm interested in signing up but I want to check that what I've done with my websites is going to be ok (it's not with my current host). Note that I'm not wanting to start a discussion on what are or are not acceptable TOS, I just want to know if the following is acceptable within dathorn TOS.

    1. index.htm content - having gibberish as text (ipso facto delorum etc), having text in a foreign language (including non-roman characters eg greek, arabic, etc), having just a blank page, having an error message as an index page, having just an image file on the index page (no text)?

    2. domain forwarding - I have an account on a company server which is obviously much faster for intranet access so what I do is setup subdomains in cpanel on the external webhost account that redirect to this other server. It's also easier to remember the subdomains than the URLs on this server. Is that permissable?

And a phpsuexec question. From what I understand the permissions cannot be set to greater than 755. On a phpBB forum I have just changed permissions from 755 to 777 on a folder so that people can upload avatars (was getting errors before). So with phpsuexec people can't upload avatar images in phpBB? Or can I solve this and other CHMOD 777 requirements in a different way?

I thought I read that somewhere else too. But avatars were not loading with 755 on that folder and after I changed to 777 they were loading fine. I'll investigate some more - maybe there's another problem with my forum.

You have a lot of control over your DNS and yes, you can do what you're asking for. I've done it several times.

As long as your script(s) run at 755 or less and you are the owner, you don't need 777 permissions (not that you could anyway with phpsuexec).
