Aspell ?

Is the spellchecking facility aspell installed on the dathorn servers and available to be called by scripts?

Sorry this went without answering... usually some of the other
members or Andrew answers 'em pretty quick.

I myself do not know if Aspell is on the servers, as I've
never used it.. but you can check the PHP Info here:

* I'm assuming its PHP or can be called via PHP.

The aspell binary is available on all servers.

I do exclusively content management type applications and am currently testing aspell on each of the 3 hosting companies where I have reseller accounts. I got quite a variety of results at my 3 current hosting companies:

(1) aspell worked at one host
(2) aspell runs but can't find the dictionaries at another host and after followup they don't intend to have available
(3) on the third host aspell was not found

So my follow-up question - Andrew said aspell binaries are available at Dathorn - is the english dictionary also installed and available for each domain?

Thank you for the discussion forum and replies. I'm looking to perhaps trade out one of my hosting companies with another and am seriously looking at Dathorn. The existence of an active discussion forum such as this one, is one of the items on my check list.

To be honest, that would something that would have to be tested. But if it is not available we can get it installed for you. I just really don't know of anyone that actually uses it on our servers.

Thought I'd report back. I'm not sure what all is involved with aspell, but my initial test of aspell functionality on Dathorn server worked fine.
