I stumbled across a coder looking for an atomic time program and he also has what seems to be an excellent spam filter. Like his atomis clock (5 kilobytes of code!!) the Spam Filter is compact too (less the 200k) and it's easy to install and seems quite smart even without the white list and black list...plus, it has a black hole list that someone was asking about that I think reports the spam as well. The spam filter sets up as a proxy which if I can do it, just about anyone can set it up.
I have been using Spartacus since I saw it here. It is very helpful but not as smart as I think it could be (I don't know if I installed wrong [I just reinstalled it] but I cannot access the configuration page so it just runs...without any white list or black list. It doesn't seem to get any smarter than about 50-60%.
anyway, the program is K.9 v 1.28 at Keir.net. And the timer program is Neutron. Check it out.
