Our traditions tell us that out of the first two children on the earth, one was a murderer and one a victim of murder, so it seems that this kind of thing has been going on a long, long time.

While more men are murdered than women, women are almost always murdered by someone they know. I suspect the same is true of children, but haven't seen the stats to be sure. Men, however, are most often the victim of a stranger, and murdered much more frequently than women or children. Some of those murders are gang-related or otherwise "avoidable" by choosing your life's activities wisely. But an awful lot of it is random.

France has gun control, but they must still allow hunting guns in the country. It was probably a single action shotgun, so the little bastard had to reload. At 14 you know better, and he should be executed or imprisoned for life for his crime, but in France he'll get no more than 10 years for the crime.

Hate breeds hate

Many people hate their children as an extension of hating themselves and God. And they take it out on the children in the form of abuse, lying, molesting, stealing from them, etc. Children who recieve this from the very people who are supposed to love them often turn into criminal offenders.... and who would be surprised?
Not saying that children don't sometime turn bad on their own volition.
