    Mice!!

Am I working too hard or what? I'm on my third mouse this year. So how many mice have you gone through this year?

Got a new Logitect optical wheel mouse this morning maybe it will last longer.

Took my old mouse apart and found a dust bunny that was twice as big as most of the electronic components. It doesn't surprise me it wasn't working with that dust bunny hopping around in there.

No dust bunnies in the optical. The only thing i have to clean once in awhile is the four "plastic pads" the mouse sits on. It will gather "stuff". Just wipe it off with my thumb and Im good to go.

hmm..I wonder if I remove them, if it will stop gathering it. I may try that.

I have a 'Fellows Web Pro' optical mouse w/ wheel and two side buttons.
I can't live w/o the left side button, as I use it to go back in my browser.

The wheel is something I'd die w/o; I just can't imagine
actually using that ugly thing called a 'scrollbar' on the right.

I've had this, oh I dunno maybe 1.5yrs?
It was bout $18 @ kMart when I got it.

Rollball mice, well when we had 'em I went through
one every other month almost; they just couldn't stand
the repeated beatings I gave 'em for not moving fast enough,
hence getting me killed in video games.

Now, keyboards thats a whole new story.
I think my family is happy I no longer use the family computer

I turned my keyboard upside down the other night. Think I had enough crumbs fall out to make a 12" huggie roll!

Call me silly, but whats a huggie roll?
And.. I don't turn keyboards upside down

I've been accused of "raib anti-keyboard abuses"
and "repeated criminal style beatings" on said keyboard.

I think it reached a peak when I went through five in something like two months.

Best Buy had a combo deal for a Natural MS Keyboard/Optical Mouse with rebate for $30, bought it about 4 years ago, not a lick of problems, I have another MS Optical Mouse for my laptop, got it at Office Depot for $10 with rebate, love those things.
Do not miss the balls and the crap they picked up at all, the other PC in my home has a regular Logitech ball mouse, total POS.

                  Hoggie.

Picked up my new mouse at Office Depot for $16 ($14.49) including tax. Couldn't find any better on the internet this morning. Hopefully I won't need a keyboard now those crumbs are gone.

I got a MS Optical Mouse Explorer (5 button). Had one before this one, that just died on me. This one is about 1.5 years old.

Before Optical mice, Id go thru a mouse in less than a year...maybe that poor mouse in the mouse got tired of runnin around on my mouse pad?

Keyboards last between 1.5-2 years for me, depends how often I miss my mouth and how often the keyboard is under my mouth when I miss it.

The worst Keyboard disaster is when I spilt a HUGE Grants Farm glass of water on it (prolly a 64 oz cup) and even after it dried out, it never worked again. Prolly all the other food in there ended up messin it up. Who knows.

Best Keyboard disaster I saw? At my friend's house when he knocked his 64 oz cup from the local Convient Mart over. One of those yummy Cherry Coke Slushie things...all over his nice new M$ Natural Keyboard. That was nasty. Im glad it wasn't my keyboard and I didnt have to explain that to my dad.

                      Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse

I bought the Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse a few months ago at Sam's Club for around $65. I cringed at the thought of spending that much money on a mouse, but I dropped my dough and ran home to check it out.

I've been very happy with this mouse, though. I don't really need the wireless freedom, but it seems to have pretty high accuracy and you can move it over any surface and it works.. my wood-grained desk used to mess up past mice I've had but it is no match for the MX. I can even drag it up and down my arm and actually control the cursor enough to use it (I don't know why you'd ever need to use it on such an irregular surface, but just in case..)

The real selling feature for me was that the battery is rechargeable. I never used wireless mice in the past because I didn't want to mess with replacing the batteries (even if I found some rechargeable ones and a separate charger, it's still annoying to change them once every couple of months). With this mouse, you just drop it in the included cradle and it begins charging. It also has a meter on it to let you know when it's getting close to empty.

Like I said, I've only had this for a few months now, so I don't know how long it will last. It seems to be built well, though, and so far I'm very pleased.

can't imagine spending that much on a mouse.
I'd rather go with my $16 cheapie

I spent $60 orignally on my 5 button explorer mouse, and the 2nd one I got for around $30. But its what I like. I need to buy a couple more, since I really dont care for the new "tilt feature" on the scroll wheel of the newer ms mice.

I have to admit this optical mouse is real improvement over the ball. Heck of a lot less picking up the mouse to bring it back in reach ... if you know what I mean. Have to watch for a sale, can always use a couple extra mice.

I can't believe it, but I went over to Circuit City and found
the perfect mouse; to bad they were out and the help sucked.

Second I get a little cash, I'm going to buy that.
BTW, I tried the Logitech MX100 and it was very uncomfy for me

                              Maybe just my big hand...
