What service do you use to charge from customers' credit cards.

I am planning to use a service to ask our customers to pay through an online payment system when they apply for hosting. I just would like to ask your suggestions, plus and negative points of the services you used or still using.

    Thank you in advance.
    Regards.

    PayPal here.

    Pros List
    - Well known name, not "unknown".
    - As such, no doubts about its service.
    Cons List
    - If a customer claims Fraud Charge, unless you have proof of refund:
    - PayPal WILL force you to pay it + service fees ($10 or so).
    - No Anti-Fraud protection for digital services!!!!

Paypal here also. I had signed up with 2CheckOut.com, and they are a pretty good service, but they were having big problems with their site at the time. I also tried MyPaySystems.com, but they were less than stellar, and I understand they are out of business now. So I migrated back to Paypal because of the stability.

If your business grows to where spending $50 per month for the merchant account fees through a regular banking system doesn't cost you more than the higher fees at places like Paypal or 2Checkout.com, then that's definitely the way to go. For really small operations like mine its hard to beat Paypal, and if the volume ever grows to meet the merchant account level, its easy enough to change over.
