    Wireless card?

Well my luck lately has been for the better, got a broken laptop for the work I did to setup a new laptop. Turns out the hard drive had some errors, after a low level format it tests okay. So now I have a Compaq Presario 1201T laptop.

    800Mhz Celery
    192 RAM
    15 GIG IBM HD
    24x CDROM
    Floppy
    14 Inch Screen
    2 PCMCIA Slots
    2 USB Slots
    modem
    sound
    Battery holds charge.

    not a bad little machine

Wanting to get a nice PCMCIA wireless card for it (g). Since I haven't bothered to get into wireless yet, figured this is the time to do it. Anyone have any suggestions on a good card to use on this laptop. I will be running windows 2k on it. (my os of choice).

Will be used mainly @ work, or on the road (Prolly Keener Plaza via O2Connect)

I've used several LinkSys wireless cards and have not had a problem yet.

If you've got USB 2.0 on your notebook, why not get USB wireless instead of PCMCIA? That way you can use it on another PC if you want, notebook or desktop.

2 usb ports, not usb 2.0

My desktop has no need for wireless. I will be using wireless @ the office or out and about at local hot spots.

Actually it only has 1 PCMIA slot (looked like 2 from the side) thats fine. Though my nic card conflicts with the audio now. LOL Got a free laptop bag from my dad that he got from a golf tourney. Going to test out the wireless later on today @ lunch, if time permits.
