    Whats the VPS upgrade path?

    Hi Andrew,

I didn't see this question posted or answered, so gonna throw it out.

If we get the VPS plan, whats the upgrade path to the next higher VPS? Would we require opening another account? or is it upgradable easily to the next higher plan?

Thanks, this answers a lot of issues I have currently, with running my own linux box via my home cable line what a pain dealing with re-routing ports to get around their firewalls. hehe.

    Warren.

It's the total space including OS. But when you start out this may only use a couple hundred MBs used by the OS/cPanel as the files are shared, but once you start modifying them you will have your own copy and additional space will be used.

You can upgrade your VPS at any time just like with our shared hosting plans. Worst case scenario is that we may have to move your VPS to another server.

Would that be in the case that the current server doesn't have enough resources left for the new plan?

              PLESK FREAK STRIKES AGIAN!!

              I can't resist! I must ask!

Can we get Plesk instead of cPanel/WHM?

Could we install Plesk ourself if not available form Dathorn directly?

I suppose we could allow that, but then support is pretty much out the window

                  Andrew:

Another question has popped up in my mind. The end of month is approaching, and my credit card is charged every 1st of the month. (I do have a Bussiness plan with you). If you launch your VPS services... there will be an option to "migrate" from a Reseller account to a VPS account and avoid being charged twice? I don't know if you get my point... damn I hate my bad english..

                  thanks.

So long as you submit a cancellation request for your current account and it is processed before the 1st then you will not be charged for that account.

Any estimate of when you'll start offering VPS services?

Hopefully within the next couple of days assuming we don't run into anymore problems as we just got the latest Virutozzo issue resolved.

How will the general TOS/AUP differ for the VPS accounts?

For instance, is the prohibition on adult content still going to be present?

Would each VPS account have it's own IP or all VPS'es on the same server will be on the same IP?

It will be the same, adult content will still be prohibited.

Each VPS comes with two IPs, they are entirely seperate "servers".
