    Oxnard, California.

That's about 20 miles north of Malibu on the coast of California. "20 miles" and a world away, but we are that close geographically! Oxnard was originally settled as a farming community, then as a Navy town, so we are a wonderful mix of ethnic and cultural groups ranging from Mexican Americans to Phillipinos to anglo yuppies.

Ventura CA is more famous, and is our neighbor to the immediate north. We are closer in weather and temperment to Santa Barbara than we are to Los Angeles, which suits me just fine.

Hmm, I've been in Florida looking for a house for 3 days now and we've managed to get 3" of rain. I guess it's supposed to rain on Tues and Wed also. When does the 1/10 non-storm-ridden happen?

Usually 9 to 5 Monday through Friday is pretty clear and sunny.

Well, I grew up (and then some) in "liveable" Melbourne but now live in "not quite as liveable but charming in it's own way" London.
