Using ghost, I managed to ghost the blank hdd over the orginal hdd
was wondering why it was so quick, till I tried booting up !
was not impressed with myself for days
I've done that a couple times at work...but then again when the customers drop off their pcs, it says right above where they sign, that they agree that they have backed up all important files...
I haven't done anything "fun" to my pc in a while, but its comin soon....80 + 180 gig hd w/ about 27 gig free space = disaster just waitin to happen. =P
Update my bios when I knew that the computer would reset itself randomly.
I tried to save back the original bios as my system became unstable. While flashing the rom the computer crashed only a few percents away from completion of the flash......
While at work once I extracted a tar file into the wrong directory. Root of our web server. So I did an ls and then quickly started rm -rf the directories I knew were in the wrong place. (maybe I should of moved them instead). My advice, never do this quickly, before I knew it half of the site was gone when I removed a wrong directory. It was a production server too. Doh!.
Idiotic? How about accidentally spilling a drink on a motherboard after I put the computer back together (but hadn't put the case back on...). Surprisingly it still worked after it dried out.
