Hello Dathornians Again..

I have an account here at Dathorn and it is awesome.. I haven't had any troubles and if I do have a situation I am either answered in this forum or right away with a trouble ticket..

I just do design as a hobby and decided to get into the hosting game as part of my "services" if you will...

Anyway.. A very intense situation has come up with one of my "clients' and it has prompted me to get out of the "hosting" part of my stuff except for my own site and a few select friends and family..

It is all my fault that this situation got out of hand and it is being resolved now but I plan on letting go of a few of my clients and also refering many others in the future to a new host...

I have high rakings in Yahoo and other search engines and get requests often to recommend a host but wanted to offer one that is cheap and reliable... And I know most everyone here is using dathorn which I know is reliable..

So, I didn't want to sound like an advertisment but thought I would post in here first before going to WHT forums as many people from there has already offered after seeing a thread there talking about the "situation"

I'd toss out a line here but personally I've gotten out of the hosting stuff
myself except for once person (prepaid 1yr). Why? Simple I don't want to
have an obligation to KEEP my hosting here or wherever. I like having the
freedom to suddenly cancel all my stuff. Now I regret giving it up for a year

I believe I am going to put a page together of "recommended" hosts with some I have tried before with reviews and stuff.. I'll include the ones I have heard from in here too...

I am still going to host folks just not as many as before if you know what I mean...

I only host my friends and family. So much easier!

Same here. The only difference being that I used to buy up dedicated servers in my name and then resell it to my clients. I have stopped this practice now, and instead, started asking clients to directly get a server from one of the numerous providers out there with which they feel comfortable.
