my most popular site, http://SteveGHelper.com, helps men's professional
tennis fanatics to search match results and player rankings found on
someone else's site, SteveGTennis.com.
this month, i have had people visit my site from 73 different countries.
i have two pages. one lets you enter player name(s) and see their tournament
results (or you can also search by country code).
unfortunately, my site needs a redesign to make it more intuitive for
non-english speakers. quite often they come to the site, and leave without
attempting a search.
i do currently check the Referrer URL and if it contains a country code,
i immediately do a search for that user's country's players in the current
week's tournaments.
what i would love to do is ALWAYS do a country search for new visitors
to my site.
Awstats uses GeoIPFree to determine the country based on the IP address.
Does anyone know how I could interface my own webpage to use GeoIPFree
to get the country on the fly from the visitor's IP address?
