Within the next few hours we will begin upgrading the software listed below on cpanel04. This will serve as our "live" test server. Thus far on our other test servers we've not experienced any problems with this process. There may be 30 minutes or so of downtime during this due to the recompiling that is necessary for this to be completed.
cPanel/WHM
cPanel Pro (Boxtrapper, file leech protector, image manager)
MySQL 4.1.3
PHP 4.4.0
Once cpanel04 is completed we will be monitoring it closely to make sure that everything is functioning properly. We will then begin updating the rest of the servers later in the week.
BoxTrapper and MySQL 4.1. If I'm not mistaken, MySQL 4.1 is boolean fulltext search compatible.

Reason: To reflect AndrewT update.

Well, that should be old news already:
' As of Version 4.0.1, MySQL can also perform boolean full-text searches using the IN BOOLEAN MODE modifier.' (from http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/fu...-boolean.html).
The exciting news are Unicode support and mysqli (think prepared statements - no more SQL injection in scripts). Time to pick up the manuals again...

Just proves I'm getting old. The mind is the second thing to go ... can't remember what else is gone? Hope it wasn't important.
Mysqi gives me a reason to look forward to PHP5. Though I'll probably die of old age before any of my hosts adopt PHP5 though I might get to see MySQL 4.1.3. Next MySQL update maybe?
