    "Account Suspended" V.3

If you are going to suspend an account (still waiting for my trouble ticket response) you should change the message posted on the site to something less embarassing. How about "Bandwidth exceeded" or something??

This is totally unacceptable and we will probably be looking for a new host after this treatment. The shutdown happened at around 4AM EST and that is as far from our peak usage as you can get.

Thats a very important point and something I was going to suggest. That "Account Suspended...contact billing/support" message is really troublesome for a reseller. I think people see the whole "Billing thing" and think what did this guy do with my money.

Perhaps a simple message like "Website is experiencing difficulty, please contact support"

It might make the pain of getting a site suspended a bit easier to take.

I must agree with you Jim.
It should be a "Our site is currently experencing technical difficults" message,
and not a "suspended...contacting billing/suppor" sort of message.
"How can someone be so distracted yet so focused?"

The problem is we are being denied access to our databases as well. I would really like to get in there, back up our information, and move to a new host. This is unacceptable.

I cannot even access our cpanel, that would not drain the CPU use if that's the problem. (still awaiting trouble email response) If you want to "suspend" our accout that's your descision, but not allowing my access with my FTP and cpanel to backup my databases/site is asking for trouble. That will not drain your CPU cycles and drain your resourses so that should be allowed, WTF.

If this continues you should expect a response from our lawyer.

When an account is suspended for abuse/over use, the whole account is locked. Andrew, in the past, has opened the account to allow the owner to backup and obtain necessary files. I would imagine that he'll do the same for you.

Go back and read your TOS/AUP that you agreed to. It's well within Dathorn's right to suspend your account if it was deemed to be a detriment to Dathorn and/or its customers.

Fine, tell me how we were a "detriment" to their resources. As of this moment all I know is that our website is down and the embarassing message is there, and we have NOT BEEN NOTIFIED as to why. If a server is going to suspend an account I expect a reason as to why in the least, period.

As it stands we still do not know why our site is down.

I'm going to step out on a limb and guess that you never filled out the customer control panel verification form as explained in our announcements forum PRIOR to this incident. In which case we had no way to notify you via e-mail.

We were out on that limb and filled it out.

Give us access to the ftp and cpanel to get our backups and we will not let the door hit us in the ass on the way out.

I submitted one this morning via email since I could not access the customer control panel.

This is my site http://www.1st-vets.us if there is any confusion.

P.S. We also have 1st-vets.com, 1st-vets.org, and 1st-vets.net on that server.

                      Andrew,

Please assist with this as soon as you can. You might not be aware but we are a Military Veteran Organization with some members currently in Iraq.

The families of those in Iraq use our forum to communicate with the soldiers there.

Your immediate attention to this would help us greatly especially with what is going on within the past week.

                      Thank you.

Yes and your e-mail was also replied to but you need to submit a real trouble ticket via the customer control panel. These issues are not handled any other way.

                          Andrew,

We are not able to access the trouble ticket system.

We already did everything you asked, and still not able to follow what you want with submitting a trouble ticket.

In the past when the account was not suspended we had no problem with submitting trouble tickets.

                          Please fix this issue ASAP.

Please e-mail me, andrew@dathorn.com, with your customer username but since you filled out the customer control panel verification form you should have no problem entering that username and the password that you gave to login.

A lot of time is being wasted here with these posts.

You have the power to fix it, if you can submit a ticket for us then. The web site is www.1st-vets.us

                              Thank you.
