Computer problem

Hello

For the techies, I would like to ask what could be the reason if the computer monitor only shows green color after the windows application start up. My CPU beeps which means its running normally. I have tried using another monitor (actually new), still the same problem occurs. I have used this computer set for almost a year now, and its brand new when I bought it. Just suddenly, after I used it, and opened it again, after the windows start up, there's a black color, then, right away it turned to green.. all screen.

I had something similar happen once.

Take a look at the VGA pins in the cable ... a real close look. I had one where pin 1 (red) was bent over and "partnered" with another pin, and I got a monochrome colored screen.

If you are using different cables for each monitor, and the graphics card is separate from the motherboard, you can try pulling it out and then putting it back in.

Try to use another VGA cable, this happened at work for me where the monitor had a blue tint.
