    Ruby on Rails Support?

Does Dathorn support Ruby on Rails yet? Some searching revealed posts from 06 and 07 saying it was in the works. What's the status on this?

It's something that we're working to reach. In order to even start this we need to discontinue PHP 4 completely and move from Apache 1.3 to Apache 2.x. Since these changes can have some rather major impacts, we are proceeding slowly.

Anything is possible. I would say that it is unlikely that this would be available by May. After that is certainly a possibility.

That's pretty cool. I already noticed somewhere that we'll be moving towards Apache 2, then read this announcement about ROR. Well, after all getting Subversion implemented is not unrealistic Given that Ruby fans love it

Could you please give us an update on the status for RoR hosting at Dathorn?

            Many thanks!

              As noted before:

It's something that we're working to reach. In order to even start this we need to discontinue PHP 4 completely and move from Apache 1.3 to Apache 2.x. Since these changes can have some rather major impacts, we are proceeding slowly.

By the end of the month we will have all of our servers migrated to our new Apache/mod_suphp setup. We then need to begin changing the default version of PHP on all servers from version 4 to version 5. Following that, we need to remove PHP 4 completely and revert to Apache 2.x. Only once this is done can we work on RoR.
