Oracle and MySQL

Since Oracle is buying Sun, are any of you worried about the open source products, especially MySQL and Java? Oracle has never been an open source company, and while things like SunOffice have ready-to-go counterparts, I'm not sure MySQL is as easy to replace.

If Oracle decides to stop development of MySQL I suspect most scripts will switch over to one of the other databases. But it could be messy.

Or MySQL can fork and the OS community can continue to develop the DBMS.

The announcement made me think twice about getting my MySQL Developer I/II certifications.
