    As good as Dathorn

I am as satisfied as can be with Dathorn and don’t want to leave. However, I have a number of customers who have .de and .ru domains. The Internet Authorities there demand 2 separate C-class DNS numbers (ie.: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and xxx.xxx.xxy.xxx) which Dathorn cannot provide.

Can anyone suggest a company as good or nearly as good as Dathorn for those sites?

    Secondary DNS

You could use a secondary DNS with a different company instead of Dathorn's secondary nameserver. The secondary would then probably have a completely different IP than your primary nameserver here at Dathorn. A quick google search turned up these:

You could also get a second dathorn account on a different server. It will most likely be IP'd in a different class C subnet and then you just have to add the zone and you're good to go.

On a side note, it's annoying that registrars still maintain these antiquated requirements.

        Thank you for your advice.
I have contacted zoneedit and have established 2 C-class DNSs and pointed them to the relevant server IP. I assume that it is going to work.
Their help text is a little sparse, now I am trying to determine if I have to do something about the mail or not.
        Thank you in any case.

I would have done this gladly, but Andrew replied to me that he does not provide this service.

Andrew doesn't per se, you'd have to add your own zone info and maintain it yourself. Not the easiest, or neatest solution, but it would work.
