After a good hour of struggling
to first find the "SPLIT THREAD" then "DELETE POST"
options, I've gotcha moved to the right place

Plus might be best to include
what sort of problems your email has
"How can someone be so distracted yet so focused?"

        Formmail.cgi

Thank you for putting it in the right place, I would love to know how you did that, but at another time. I could not find it either, so thanks again. The FAQs do not help much. I guess that 99% of the viewers are Gurus, I make up the other 1% that don’t know anything. I will try to explain my problem.

I own and host a website www.flbd.com and sell ads for “Businesses For Sale” or for any of the other directories on it, which contains a complete description with pictures and prices. At the end of each ad there is a form titled “Request For Additional Information”. I was using a Formmail that allowed me to enter one email address for each ad. One morning none of me forms worked (FeaturePrice, com) and I was told that they had switched to a new formmail.cgi that prevented my hosting provider from canceling me due to complaints. They also told me that I would have to enter all recipients in the formail.cgi. This I have been doing for about the last 2 year, the trouble is that I receive an enormous amount of spam today 2500 spam messages, so much so, that I have all forms come to me and I forward them on to the advertiser, in this way I hope to limit the amount of spam they receive at least from my site.

Now I am looking for a person that can help me to configure the script that I have namely: FormMail.pl $Revision: 2.17 $ From what I read it can be configured so that the recipient is hidden and cannot be harvested by Spammers et all. Your help in finding a programmer that can do this, would be greatly appreciated.

mentordas, it sounds like maybe a little script to allow user input to generate an email response would do it. Am I correct?

If so, I have a custom html form-to-email php script I developed for a client website. Try this URL, and click on the "contact us" page:
          SelahRecording.com

If you like it, you can buy a copy and I could format it for your site and it should get the trick done. I'll even help you install it if you want. Let me know if you want my help. If not, there are some great people here at Dathorn, so you should have no trouble finding what you need.

          Best regards,
          DomainDog
